This makes him a key part of Harris Auto Racing’s commitment to driver-focused support and real-world performance.
Driver — Team Owner — Two-Time IMCA Modified National Champion
Chaz Baca Jr., is a professional dirt track racing driver with a lifelong passion for competition and speed. Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, He now calls Stanhope, Iowa home as he pursue’s his racing at the highest level across the Midwest and beyond.
Racing isn’t just what hedo — it’s who he is. My father raced and worked as a flagman at local tracks, so the smell of dirt and the sound of roaring engines were part of his life from day one. At just 9 years old, Chaz told his parents he wanted to race after attending a dirt go-kart event — and that moment set the course for everything that followed.
Over the years Chaz has raced everything from go-karts and modlites to full-blown IMCA Modifieds, steadily climbing through the ranks thanks to family support and a dedicated small team working behind the scenes.
